biography

Malaysian-chinese Suzanne Lee is a documentary photographer based in New Delhi, India as a freelance photojournalist working with international publications.

Besides assigned work and indulging in personal projects that span the region of Asia, Suzanne is working on a commissioned book project. This collaborative coffee table photo book project looks at the diversity of Jewish communities around the World and is to be published by deMO, USA in 2011. This 400 page book is being done in memory of the terrorist attacks on the Chabad house in Mumbai (2008).

Suzanne has exhibited her work in print and projection exhibitions in shows throughout Asia at many venues including the Petronas Twin Tower's 'Galeri Petronas' in Malaysia and Cambodia's Hotel De La Paix for the Angkor Photography Festival. She has also won 1st runner-up in the Angkor Photography Festival Paris-Match Award 2007, and been nominated for two awards in 2006.

In 2010/2011, Suzanne will be organising photography seminars & workshops in Malaysia in collaboration with Canon Malaysia, thus dividing her time between her dual base of India & Malaysia.
